For years, DJ's found out new ways in getting there records to their crowds and spreading around their love for music. Technologie is playing a big roll when talking about the musical development. The well known and appereciated Technics slk series turntable, is making room for cd-players, computer systems and other ways of bringing the music to the people. But the slk making room for ANYTHING else as the main audio-device for playing tracks, is something dj's (especially vinyl lovers) didn't think was gonna happen. Even I mixed my first tracks on my own crappy direct drive reloop's (best time ever btw!).
Nowadays things changed, and the musical revolution has been taken over by technological changes what can be heard in the constantly changing of styles. Just a little change, starting of with for example a new kind of filter, can make a whole lot of difference when talking about the style of the producer (and ofcourse dj's who play this track). These new technologies mixed with a lot hits from the past, sets up a new load of modern dance hits! Sampling has always been a method to create 'new' tracks.
